An outdoor marriage proposal at St Dunstan in the East

marriage proposal for amir & monica

Being involved in a proposal is something very special as you get to experience, along with the couple, the very start of their next chapter together. I was approached by Amir who was looking to propose to his partner, Monica, at a stunning outdoor location in the centre of London. They both adore nature and the outdoors, so Amir chose one of London’s secret hidden gems, St Dunstan in the East.

St Dunstan offers beautiful architecture, private gardens and plenty of private pockets for sneak away for a moment, away from the hustle and bustle of London’s busy streets.

I worked with Amir on the overall Design & Styling of his proposal. He wanted to keep things very simple, yet elegant, romantic and understated. St Dunstan is such a stunning and unique location, it provided a beautiful back drop in itself, and so felt the styling suited a more paired back approach.

The colour scheme was kept fairly natural, with a lot of inspiration coming from St Dunstan’s overgrown surroundings and gardens. With soft green tones and hints of creams and whites, his chosen spot was dressed effortlessly with cushions and throws, as well as lanterns, candles and loosely scattered rose petals.
