A wedding editorial in collaboration with Emmy Shoots and Liberty Lane Flowers.

A very personal project that took place back in August - A whimsical and poetic editorial that tells a story of personal memories, feelings and emotions felt during Summer of 2020, when the country was experiencing its first lockdown.

Focusing on the simple things that we adore and love, surrounded by our closest loved ones; A taste of happy nostalgia, amongst uncertainty and worry.

Inspired by what an 'ideal perfect Summer evening' would be like, wandering through grassy meadows and fields, sitting in the park sipping wine, where soft light bounces off the overgrown wild flowers and burnt-out grasses and where shadows are formed by hazy beams of light when the sun starts to finally set - A part of the day where there seemed to be an element of stillness and calm, whilst feeling the early evening sun kiss your skin. A small moment in time that felt stripped back and appreciated for what it was, during those tough days.

"You wear the sun on your skin Like a favourite summer dress, so natural,
And flowing, and free.
You own its hues as it begs
To kiss your cheek and
Envelop you slowly like thick,
Fresh honey.
You wear it so well, the touch
Of the sun,
Its golden voice mingling with the Sound of your laughter and erasing All the troubles of the world"

This chosen poem was carefully embossed onto individual cards and placed at each place setting. An alternative to traditional menus and something for friends to take home.
