Even though it's not clear when large events and weddings will be able to take place again, and as much as we all miss being involved in them, it does not mean that love is cancelled. 

Sometimes by keeping things intimate, doesn’t mean you have to skip the fun bits of big weddings. In fact, it can actually be a great way for couples looking for more of a relaxed affair, whether it’s just the two of you or with close friends and family too. 

Here are 4 reasons as to why keeping things intimate can sometimes be a good alternative:

1: A smoother process

By having an intimate wedding, the general planning can often be a much smoother process and experience. Many couples find that the bigger the guest list, the more amount of stress and fuss!

2: More time spent with loved ones

Many couples find that by having a large wedding, they tend to spend far less time with the people they really want to. By limiting the number of guests, you’ll ultimately have more quality time with your nearest and dearest, as well as one another. You’ll also find that your guests will naturally feel more relaxed, with many of them most likely to know each other very well already.

3: Be more creative

By having a smaller wedding, It will allow you to be more creative with your location, venue and styling choices. It allows you to be more flexible with the spaces available and how you use them creatively without the limitation of large numbers.

4: Maximise your budget

The amount of guests attending a wedding will have such a huge impact on your overall wedding budget. For catering alone, many couples pay up to almost half of their total budget. So by limiting numbers and only inviting the people who you really want there, enables you to focus on the things that matter the most and will perhaps give you more budget towards other aspects of your wedding that you may not be able to prioritise with a larger wedding.
